November 2014 Letter from the PTO President

SCPTOHello families! What a great fall we are having. Not only is it fabulous to live in this great city of Castle Rock, but we have had an awesome couple of months at Sage Canyon. Our Boosterthon event was nothing short of spectacular. It was so much fun to watch the kids have fun, run, and enjoy their teachers and friends. Thank you so much for the amazing participation and support we received; we are truly an amazing community.

Boosterthon’s successful fundraising is allowing us to really focus on our teachers’ needs in the coming months. PTO has received grant requests from our teachers, and we are now in the review process. We are working with Ms. Hill and an independent parent committee to determine what we can fund. We will be reporting these specifics to you in the coming months.

What an amazing week it was to come back from fall break, jump back into school, Harvest Festival and Spookfest. We hope everyone had a chance to join us at Spookfest and had a great time. A huge shout out to all of our parents who sent in donations as well as volunteers, especially our 5th and 6th grade volunteers, you were AWESOME! We seek and look forward to any and all feedback as we strive to improve these events year over year.  Feel free to provide any suggestions to us at [email protected]

The PTO is all of us collectively working to improve our wonderful school.  I want to send a quick “thank you” to the following individuals that helped during our Boosterthon Fund Counts:  Leanne Vakoc, Lissa Mitchell, Kim Warcholik, Melody Condon, Stacey Kerber, Windy Rivera, Amanda Gramling, Kim Levine, Julie Heath, Laura Banion, Kerri Fowler, and Anne Beh. Without amazing volunteers like you, we couldn’t accomplish all of these awesome events.

Our next PTO meeting is November 12th at 9:30am. I hope to see you there!
